Feeling well isn't the same as being well

Many common conditions — high blood pressure, high cholesterol, prediabetes — cause no symptoms in their early stages. A yearly visit gives your provider a chance to spot changes before they become serious.

What to expect at your visit

Your provider reviews your history, checks vitals, updates vaccines, and recommends screenings based on your age and risk factors. It's also a great time to talk about sleep, stress, diet and mood.

How to prepare

Bring a list of your medications and supplements, any questions you've been saving up, and your insurance card. Write down changes in your health since your last visit.
